Odisha Witnessing An Upward Covid Trend Says, Bijay Mohapatra

Bhubaneswar: Odisha is witnessing an upward Covid-19 trend said the Odisha State Health Services Director, Bijay Mohapatra on Tuesday.

A welcome relief however is that the hospital admissions are comparatively less informed Mohapatra.

He also further explained that out of more than 20, 000 active cases, over 19,000 are in home isolation.

The Health Director further said, 25 Delmicron cases have been detected so far in country.

It is however noteworthy that the State Health Services Director said, it cannot be ascertained now when the Covid cases will decline.

Since yesterday, the sharp rise in Covid cases in Odisha seems to have put the administration on high alert. Various steps are being taken to contain the spread.

Briefing the press on Monday morning, the Odisha State Health Services Director, Bijay Mohapatra said that, the positivity rate is high in four to five districts.

He added that, according to experts, Delhi and Maharashtra are likely to witness peak by January 15.

He also warned that people in Odisha should be careful as the State may see a peak after 10 to 15 days.
