Odisha: Wife Of Cuttack Serial Killer Claims Her Husband Innocent

Nayagarh: Wife of Narayan Sahu, the accused arrested for serial killings at Cuttack today claimed that his husband was innocent. She also claimed that Sahu was not present in Cuttack on both the days when the murders took place.

“He was at his sister’s house in Bhubaneswar on July 22 and went to his house at Kumpapada in Ganjam district the next day. How can he commit the murders if he was not present in Cuttack on both the days,” asked the wife of Sahu.

She also alleged police of implicating him in the case as he was mentally unstable. “ Police failed to trace the real killer so they picked my husband and accused him of the killings,” she added.

The family members of Sahu today also met the SP, Nayagarh and demanded his release. The wife of Sahu is staying with her in-laws at Sunamunhi village in Nayagarh district.

The body of a daily wager was found near Ranihat canal on July 23 while two other people were found murdered in the city near OMP Square and Mangalabag on the next day. All the victims were homeless people sleeping on the footpaths.    

Police on Monday has arrested Sahu for his involvement in the three murders.
