Odisha weather update: These districts to receive rainfall in next 48 hours

Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Thursday informed that Light to moderate rain or thundershower will continue in different parts of Odisha in the next 48 hours.

The weather department said, “Light to moderate rain or thundershower very likely to occur at many places over the districts of Coastal Odisha, Dhenkanal, Kandhamal, Rayagada and at a few places over the rest districts of the State.”

“Light to moderate rain or thundershower very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of South Interior Odisha, Gajapati, Ganjam and dry weather very likely to prevail over the rest districts of the State,” it added.

Light to moderate rainfall has occurred at a few places over the districts of South Coastal Odisha, at one or two places over the districts of North Coastal & South Interior parts of the State and dry weather prevailed over the districts of North Interior Odisha.

The Chief amount of rainfall recorded in cms was recorded at Paralakhemundi (Gajapati) 2, Sorada (Ganjam) 2, Mohana (Gajapati) 1, Mahendragarh (Gajapati) 1, Kalinga (Kandhamal) 1.

Likewise, shallow to moderate fog has occurred at one or two places over the districts of Angul, Kalahandi & Malkangiri of Interior Odisha.

Minimum temperatures observed appreciably rise at a few places over North Coastal Odisha, at one or two places over South Odisha & North Interior Odisha and no large change at elsewhere over Odisha. They were markedly above normal at many places over Coastal Odisha & North Interior Odisha, at one or two places over South Interior Odisha, appreciably above normal at a few places over Odisha and above normal at elsewhere over Odisha.
