Odisha weather news: IMD issues heavy rainfall for next five days

Bhubaneswar: The Regional Centre of India Meteorological Department (IMD) in Bhubaneswar on Friday predicted heavy rainfall activities in several parts of Odisha for the next five days.

According to reports, the weatherman issued Orange warning and Yellow Warning for different distorts of the State from 8.30 AM of July 9 and 8.30 AM of July 13.

Day-1: Valid up to 0830 Hrs IST of 09.07.22):

  • Orange warning (be prepared): Heavy to very heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at isolated places over the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, and Gajapati.
  • Yellow Warning (Be updated): Heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at isolated places over the districts of Puri, Khordha, Ganjam, Nawarangpur, Kalahandi and Kandhamal.

Day-2: Valid from 0830 Hrs IST of 09.07.22 to 0830 Hrs IST of 10.07.22):

  • Yellow Warning (Be updated): Heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at isolated places over the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput, Nabarangpur, Kalahandi, Bolangir, Nuapada, Bargarh, Jharsuguda, Sundargarh, Keonjhar and Mayurbhanj.

Day-3: Valid from 0830 Hrs IST of 10.07.22 to 0830 Hrs IST of 11.07.22):

  • Yellow Warning (Be updated): Heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at isolated places over the districts of Ganjam, Kandhamal, Kalahandi, Boudh, Angul and Dhenkanal.

Day-4: Valid from 0830 Hrs IST of 11.07.22 to 0830 Hrs IST of 12.07.22):

  • Yellow Warning (Be updated): Heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at isolated places over the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput, Nabarangpur, Kalahandi, Gajapati, Ganjam, Rayagada and Kandhamal.

Day-5: Valid from 0830 Hrs IST of 12.07.22 to 0830 Hrs IST of 13.07.22):

  • Yellow Warning (Be updated): Heavy to very heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at isolated places over the districts of Gajapati, Ganjam, Puri, Kandhamal, Malkangiri and Koraput.
  • Heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at isolated places over the districts of Rayagada, Kalahandi, Khordha, Jagatsinghpur, Nayagarh, Cuttack, Boudh, Nabarangpur, Bolangir and Bargarh.
