Odisha waives hostel fee of these students; Check details

Bhubaneswar: Odisha government on Friday announced to waive the hostel fee of students of Engineer Colleges, Technology and Polytechnic institutes of the State.

According to a notification issued by the Skill Development & Tech Education Department of the State government, the hostel fee of students of Engineer Colleges, Technology and Polytechnic institutes of the State will be waived for the period from April 2020 to December 2020.

The approval for waiver of Rs 5.10 crore hostel fees would benefit as many as 17012 students staying in hostels across the State.

The decision to waive the hostel fee of the students was taken in the wake of the Coronavirus pandemic.
