Kendrapada: The Odisha Vigilance on Friday apprehended the Assistant Sub Inspector (ASI) of Jamankira in Kendrapada district while demanding and accepting a bribe.
The ASI has been identified as Prithviraj Mishra.
Acting on tip-off, the Cuttack anti-corruption team of nine member team laid a trap against Prithviraj while demanding and accepting cash of Rs 7,000/- from the complainant.
The entire bribe money has been recovered and seized from Prithviraj ’s possession.
The raid is underway at his official residence and the vigilance sleuths have confiscated the passbooks of several banks, properties, and other documents. Further details are awaited.
