Odisha urban body election: CM Naveen Patnaik walks to polling booth to cast his vote, Watch

Bhubaneswar: Setting an example for others, Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik walked to a polling booth to cast his vote for the urban body election, which is being held in the State today.

Patnaik, from his residence, walked to booth no. 544 in Aerodrome UP School under Ward No.53 of Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) and exercised his franchise. People from Bhimabhoi and aerodrome areas are slated to exercise their franchise at the polling booth.

Like a common man, the Chief Minister also showed his Voter ID, stood in the queue and casted his vote when his turn came.

Patnaik also urged the people of the urban areas to vote in large numbers and strengthen democracy. He requested them to follow the Covid guidelines during the polling and encourage others to cast their votes.

Elaborate security arrangement was made during Patnaik’s visit to the polling booth to cast his vote.
