Odisha Unlock: Will Night curfew, weekend shutdown be lifted from September 1, Check details

Bhubaneswar: As the Covid graph is witnessing a declining trend in the daily number of COVID-19 cases and the partial lockdown restrictions for August are all set to end on September 1 (6 AM). The Odisha government will come up with some relaxations and take decision keeping in mind about the rise in cases among children in the 0-18 age group and the upcoming festive season.

What Might Open, What Might Not From September 1:

    1. Weekend shutdown might be withdrawn in three cities Cuttack, Puri and Bhubaneswar.
    2. Shops to be allowed to remain open till 9-10 pm.
    3. Night curfew to be withdrawn.
    4. The number of people at the wedding, thread ceremony and funeral ceremonies might be exceeded.

As the festive season is nearing and there are chances of third wave in which there is more chances of children being infected from the deadly virus. The State government is looking into different aspects and announce the guidelines accordingly.
