Bhubaneswar: Injured wild bear undergoing treatment at Nandankanan Zoo in Bhubaneswar has succumbed to injuries on Wednesday morning.
According to reports, the bear had sustained bullet injuries in firing by poachers in Jeypore district of Odisha.
Sources say that, the officials of Odisha University of Agriculture & Technology (OUAT) had rescued the injured wild animal and taken it to Nandankanan zoo for treatment.
Unfortunately, the injures were deep and the bear succumbed to them.
