Sundergarh: In a tragic indent, two youths fell into a dam and died while taking selfie in Odisha’s Sundergarh on Sunday.
As many as five youths from Rourkela had gone to the reservoir of Kansbahal dam on a casual visit. However, two of them slipped into the water while taking selfie, said eyewitnesses.
Some locals rescued one of the youths and rushed him to the local hospital for treatment, however, doctor declared him brought dead, added the eyewitnesses.
On being informed, a team of firefighters from Rourkela immediately rushed to the spot and fished out the body of another youth.
The deceased youths have been identified as Pramod Parida of Basanti Colony in Rourkela and Sumant Dey of Bramhapur DAV Slum under Plant Site Police Station.
