Odisha: Two Brothers Die After Drowning In Kharasrota River

Jajpur: A pall of gloom descended on Chintapalli village in Odisha’s Jajpur district following the death of two brothers who died after drowning in Kharasrota River on Thursday.

Kanhu Charan Chandra’s two sons Dinabandhu and Dibakar had reportedly gone to take bath in Kharasrota River today, however, both of them drowned while they were bathing.

A team of Odisha Disaster Rapid Action Force (ODRAF) immediately rushed to the spot after being alerted by some onlookers and rescued both Dinabandhu and Dibakar.

The siblings were rushed to the local hospital in a critical condition. Unfortunately, doctors who attended the duo declared Dinabandhu brought dead.

Dibakar also breathed his last while he was being shifted to Jajpur district headquarter hospital for further treatment.
