Odisha Twin-City COVID updates: 82 new cases in Bhubaneswar, 9 in Cuttack City detected

Bhubaneswar: A total of 82 new covid-19 positive cases were reported in the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) area while 9 cases were detected under the Cuttack Municipal Corporation (CMC) region today.

According to reports by BMC, out of the total 82 positive cases, 54 positive cases are quarantine cases while 28 cases are local contacts.

Likewise, 167 patients have recovered from the disease taking the recovery cases to 117431.

With today’s update, currently, there are 1553 active cases in the BMC city are and the death toll stands at 1071.

On the other hand, 9 new COVID positive cases and 13 recoveries were recorded by the Cuttack Municipal Corporation (CMC) today.

Out of the total 9 cases registered in the CMC area on Monday, 2 cases are from institutional quarantine, 2 cases are from home quarantine and 5 are local contact cases.

As many as 206 Covid-19 positive cases including 32 in the 0-18 years age group have been detected positive in the State in the last 24 hours taking the tally to 10,45,862. This was informed by the Information and Public Relations (I&PR).

Among the 206 positives, 121 are quarantine cases and 85 are local contacts. With the detection of these 206 cases, currently, the State has 2669 active cases.

Similarly, the Health & Family Welfare Department informed that 236 more Covid patients have recovered in the State today taking the recovery tally to 1034995.
