Odisha Transport Commissioner Directs RTOs To Facilitate Services

Bhubaneswar: Transport Commissioner Sanjeeb Panda has asked all the Regional Transport Offices (RTOs) in the state to facilitate citizen-centric services in view of the implementation of the amended MV Act.

The amended MV Act came into effect in Odisha from September 1. Panda has asked concerned RTOs to make necessary arrangements for enhancing slots of learning licence and driving licence. Panda has also asked to remain the RTOs open even on holidays.

“You are hereby directed to make necessary arrangements to enhance more number of slots for both LL and DL test, install extra computers for LL test and also allow the applicant to appear test for LL and DL in the vacant slot where the slot allotted applicant is absent. You are also directed to open office in all government holidays for the above purpose to facilitate the public,” Panda wrote in the letter.
