Odisha: Trains to be cancelled for safety-related modernisation work

Bhubaneswar: The East Coast Railway (ECoR) today informed that two trains going to Bangalore from Odisha under South Western Railway jurisdiction have been cancelled for safety-related modernisation work.

The ECoR in a press release said, “In view of safety-related modernisation work in connection with infrastructure maintenance work between Yelahanka and Dharmavaram stations in Bangalore Division of South Western Railway jurisdiction, it has been decided to cancel Puri-Yesvantpur-Puri Garib Rath Express for one day each from both the directions and partial cancellation of Bhubaneswar-Bangalore-Bhubaneswar Prashanti Express between Satyasai Prashanti Nilayam (SSPN) and Bangalore stations for a period of 9 days.”

  1. 22883/22884 Puri-Yesvantpur-Puri Garib Rath Express from Puri on 29th March and from Yesvantpur on 30th March, 2019 will remain cancelled from both the directions.
  2. 18463/18464 Bhubaneswar-Bangalore-Bhubaneswar Prashanti Express from Bhubaneswar from 27th March to 4th April, 2019 and from Bangalore from 28th March to 5th April, 2019 will run between Bhubaneswar and Satyasai Prashanti Nilayam (SSPN) and will remain cancelled between SSPN & Bangalore from both the directions.

The ECoR further said that full refund will be granted to the passengers who have already reserved accommodations in the trains and made the payments.
