Koraput: The movement of a DMU train was disrupted for around half an hour after a huge rock slid onto the railway tracks at Dumuriput station in the district this afternoon.
Eyewitnesses said that the incident took place at around 3 pm when Vishakhapatnam-Koraput DMU train was on its way to Koraput when a massive rock slid onto its tracks near Dumuriput railway station.
“The loco pilot immediately stopped the train on the tracks. One bogie of the train suffered minor damage. The stone was later removed by labourers and the train started moving towards the destination,” said a railway official.
