Odisha to witness change in weather

Bhubaneswar: Odisha will witness a change in the weather post the Cyclonic Storm ‘JAWAD’. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted that cloudy weather will prevail in many coastal and adjoining districts today.

While there is a possibility of light rain in some parts of the northern coastal state of Odisha today, the weather will be mostly dry in Odisha from December 7.

The night temperature will drop by 3 to 4 degrees Celsius, said reports.

Meanwhile, the Depression (remnant of Cyclonic Storm JAWAD) has weakened into Well Marked Low-Pressure Area over the northwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining West Bengal and Bangladesh coasts at 5.30 am today.

It is likely to most northeastwards and weaken further into a Lost pressure Area during the next six-hour. No warning has been issued for Odisha.

The weather in the State will be warm today and the night temperatures will be low. The weather will be mostly dry from tomorrow.

In the last 24 hours, Paradeep received 201 mm and Ersama received 188 mm rainfall, added reports.
