Odisha To See Covid Peak After 10-15 Days, Says Bijay Mohapatra

Bhubaneswar: The sharp rise in Covid cases in Odisha seems to have put the administration on high alert. Various steps are being taken to contain the spread.

Briefing the press on Monday morning, the Odisha Health Services Director,  said that, the positivity rate is high in four to five districts.

He added that, according to experts, Delhi and Maharashtra are likely to witness peak by January 15.

He also warned that people in Odisha should be careful as the State may see a peak after 10 to 15 days.

It is noteworthy that, Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik is scheduled to hold a review meeting on Monday to assess the current Covid situation.

According to reports, the review meeting will be attended by the Chief Secretary and Development Commissioner, the Health Secretary, and senior officials from the Department of Health.

Odisha has seen as many as 4829 Covid-19 positive cases, including 933 from Khordha have been detected in the last 24 hours.
