Odisha to receive rainfall from March 21: Meteorological Centre

Bhubaneswar: In what can be considered a sigh of relief for the people of Odisha who are witnessing scorching heatwave conditions for the last several days, the Meteorological Centre situated in Bhubaneswar on Saturday predicted rainfall over several districts of Odisha from March 21.

According to the weather department, light to moderate rain or thundershower is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Ganjam, Gajapati, Rayagada and dry weather is likely to prevail over the rest districts of Odisha from 8.30 AM of March 21 to 8.30 AM March 22.

Light to moderate rain or thundershower very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Ganjam, Gajapati, Kandhamal, Rayagada, Malkangiri, Koraput, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Bhadrak, Balasore and dry weather is likely to prevail over the rest of districts of Odisha from 8.30 AM of March 22 to 8.30 AM March 23, it said.

Likewise, the Meteorological Centre predicted light to moderate rain or thundershower at one or two places over the districts of Coastal Odisha, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Dhenkanal, Kandhamal, Rayagada, Malkangiri, Koraput and dry weather likely to prevail over the rest districts of Odisha from 8.30 AM of March 23 to 8.30 AM March 24.
