Odisha To Receive Additional 5.50 Lakh Doses Of Covid Vaccines: Union Minister

Bhubaneswar: Odisha will receive additional 5.50 lakh doses of Covid19 vaccines, informed Union Minister Petroleum Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Saturday.

Pradhan on his Twitter handle informed that he discussed with Union Health Minister Harsh Vardhan about Odisha’s demand for additional Covid vaccines during which the Health Minister said to have assured to provide more Covid vaccines to the State.

“I have been briefed that Odisha has been provided with 34.46 lakh doses of Covid19 vaccine so far, out of which only around 23 lakh doses have been administered. Odisha will also receive additional 5.50 lakh doses on 28th March,” Pradhan said.

It is to be noted here that Odisha Health Secretary PK Mohapatra on Friday had written a letter to Union Health Secretary Rajesh Bhushan seeking more Covid vaccines for the State.
