Odisha to present Rs 8,300 cr supplementary budget

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Finance Minister Niranjan Pujari will present a supplementary budget of around Rs 8,300 crore in the winter session of the State Assembly beginning on November 13.

The Council of Ministers, led by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, approved the supplementary budget in a meeting held at Lok Seva Bhawan here on Friday.

The Finance Minister said the supplementary budget would cater to the additional expenditure required in the remaining four months of the current fiscal.

The winter session of the Odisha Legislative Assembly will continue till December 19.

Last year, the State government had presented supplementary budget of Rs 12,790 crore for 2018-19 fiscal.
