Odisha: Three PLFI Members Arrested, Two Pistols Seized

Sundargarh: Police have arrested three members of banned Naxal outfit People’s Liberation Front of India (PLFI) from Bisra in the district last night.

The arrested members of the outfit have been identified as Pawan Tanibading (24), Samuel Soy Murmu (22) and Rajesh Birua (45).

Police have seized two pistols and two live ammunition from the accused. Police said that a gang of six members of the outfit were planning to commit dacoity in a petrol pump in Bisra when a police team raided the spot.

“We managed to nab three of them while the other gang members managed to escape from the spot. The accused were involved in several cases of loot, dacoity and extortion. We are further verifying their antecedents,” said a police official.
