Odisha teacher recruitment 2021: Apply online for 4619 vacant teachers posts

The Directorate of Secondary Education (DSE), Odisha has issued a notification for the recruitment of 4619 vacant teachers’ posts.

The interested and eligible candidates can apply online on the official website on or before 14 September 2021.

The selected candidates will be appointed as contractual Hindi, Sanskrit and Physical Education Teachers.

Important dates

  • Commencement of Online Registration: August 23, 2021 (11 AM onwards)
  • Last Date for Online Registration: September 14, 2021 (up to 6 PM)
  • Tentative schedule of Online Examination: First week of October 2021

Name and number of posts:

  • Hindi Teacher: 2055
  • Sanskrit Teacher: 1304
  • Physical Education Teacher: 1260

Age limits

A candidate must have attained 21 years of age and must not be above 32 years of age as on 01.01.2021. However, there will be relaxation in the upper age limit for different social/special categories in the following manner:

  1. in case of SC/ST/SEBC/Women by 5 years
  2. in case of Persons with Disabilities by 10 years
  • In case of ex-military persons as per GA Dept Notification No 22586/Gen Dt.16.10.1985.

Educational Qualification

  1. Classical Teacher (Sanskrit)

a. Bachelor’s Degree with Sanskrit as one of the electives /optional/Honours /pass subjects from a recognized university with minimum 50% marks in aggregate (45% for SC/ST/PWD/SEBC candidates) and Shiksha Shastri (Sanskrit) a course prescribed by NCTE, from a recognized University/Institution. OR

b. Shastri (Sanskrit) with minimum 50% marks in aggregate (45% for SC/ST/PWD/SEBC candidates) from a recognized university and Shiksha Shastri (Sanskrit), a course prescribed by NCTE, from a recognized University institution.

  1.  Hindi Teacher: a) Bachelor’s degree from a recognized University with Hindi as one of the electives /Optional/Pass/Honours subject with minimum 50% marks in aggregate (45% for SC/ST/PWD/ SEBC candidates) and one of the following Training qualifications.
  • Hindi Shikshan Parangat from Kendriya Hindi Sansthan, Agra
  • Ed., a course prescribed by NCTE, from a recognized University/ Institution
  • Ed in Hindi, a course prescribed by NCTE, from Dakshin Bharat Hindi Prachar Sabha, Madras.

OR  

b) Bachelor’s degree from a recognized University with a minimum 50% marks in aggregate (45% for SC/ST/PWD /SEBC candidates) with one of the following qualifications;

  • Rastrabhasa Ratna from Rastrabhasa Prachar Samiti, Wardha
  • Shastri (Hindi) from Orissa Rastrabhasa Parishad, Puri
  • Snataka (Acquired by June-2005, the date up to which the temporary recognition has been granted) from Hindi Shiksha Samiti, Orissa, Cuttack and one of the following Training qualifications:
  1. Hindi Shikshan Parangat from Kendriya Hindi Sansthan, Agra
  2. H.Ed, a course prescribed by NCTE, from a recognized University/ Institution
  3. Ed in Hindi, a course prescribed by NCTE, from Dakshin Bharat Hindi Prachar Sabha, Madras.

Physical Education Teacher:

+2 or its equivalent examination from a recognised institution with minimum 50% marks in aggregate (45% or SC/ST/PH/ SEBC candidates) and C.P.Ed./ B.P.Ed./ M.P. Ed from a recognized Board/University.

Selection process of Odisha teacher recruitment 2021:

  • The candidates will be made on the basis of the result of the Computer Based Competitive Examination. A candidate has to secure minimum 25% marks (20% in case of candidates of SC/ST/PWD category) Paper I and 35% marks in paper 2 to qualify in the exam.

  • Interested candidates can apply to the posts through the online mode till 14 September 2021. After submitting the online applications, the candidates can take a printout of the application for future reference.

Application fee:

  • SC, ST and PWD category: Rs 400
  • All others: Rs 600
