Odisha: Student Kidnapped At Gunpoint In Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: A student has been allegedly kidnapped at gunpoint in Bhubaneswar, the capital city of Odisha.

A ransom of Rs 30 lakh is being asked for his release by the kidnappers, said reliable sources.

According to reports, the kidnapped boy was studying BBA at a college in Bengaluru, Karnataka. He had come back home due to the ongoing Covid pandemic.

He has allegedly been kidnapped from Laxmisagar area of Bhubaneswar.

The Commissionerate Police has detained four (4) people in this connection and is questioning them.

The DCP informed that, the car and weapons used for the kidnapping has been seized.

Further details are awaited and will be shared by the DCP in a presser scheduled to be held later today.
