Odisha State Cabinet Meeting scheduled to be held today

Bhubaneswar: The meeting of the State Cabinet is scheduled to be held at 11.30 am today under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik. The Cabinet is likely to approve more than 10 proposals of Panchayati Raj, Finance, Revenue department.

The Cabinet is likely to hold discussions and approve several important proposals belonging to various departments. It is also likely approve few mega pipe-water schemes and few cadre restructuring along with service condition rules is also likely to be amended.

The Ministers of Bhubaneswar and outside to attend cabinet meetings through video conferencing from the district headquarters.

On the other hand, Chief Minister distributed the smart health cards to over three lakh beneficiaries in Puri district, about 1.35 lakh people in Gajapati, in Balangir, 3.5 crore people in Titlagarh, to 4.36 lakh people in Sundergarh and 1,55, 823 smart health cards in Malkangiri.

It has been scheduled that by the month of November all the beneficiaries of all districts will be given the smart health cards in phases. It is noteworthy to mention that, around 10 lakh beneficiaries in last 45 days. On the occasion of 75th Independence Day, the Chief Minister had announced to provide Smart Health Cards to 3.5 crore people in the State under BSKY.

In addition, the Biju Swasthya Kalyan Yojana provides free medical aid to all government hospitals in the State. Every year, Rs 5 lakh is provided to every family and Rs 10 lakh to women. The assistance is available at 183 hospitals and 17 out-of-state hospitals.
