Bhubaneswar: In a shocking incident, a dog allegedly died after being burnt alive by a woman in Bhubaneswar, the capital city of Odisha.
The incident took place near the Budheswari Temple under Laxmisagar police limits. The woman has reportedly confessed to the act.
According to reports, the dog used to enter her house regularly and eat off their food during her absence.
The woman said that she had beaten the dog on a number of occasions but it repeatedly entered her house.
She was finally at her wits end and resorted to pouring petrol and burning the dog alive.
The Laxmisagar police has detained the woman for further questioning and investigation in this matter is underway.
