Odisha: Snatcher Killed, Associate Injured In Road Mishap After Failed Loot Attempt

Jharsuguda: One miscreant was killed and another was critically injured in a road mishap while both of them trying to evade police arrest near Kherualbahal under Lakhanpur police limits in the district this afternoon.

As per reports, both the miscreants tried to snatch a cash bag from a woman when she raised an alarm. The miscreants later escaped from the spot on a motorcycle.

Locals immediately informed the police which started chasing the miscreants. A few minutes later the motorcycle used by both the looters hit a police vehicle and both of them fell on the ground.

Police immediately rushed both the miscreants identified as Dharmendra Khadia and Swapna Rohidas to the nearest hospital. However Khadia was declared received dead at the hospital.  

Police have seized a pistol and two knives from the miscreants. Police said that duo was involved in a number of incidents of snatching and robbery in the area.
