Odisha sees decline in daily Covid-19 cases

Bhubaneswar: A total of 191 Covid-19 positive cases including 33 in the 0-18 years age group have been detected positive in Odisha in the last 24 hours.

With 191 positives, the tally rose to 10,48,683 informed the Information and Public Relations (I&PR) Department on Sunday.

Among the 191 positives, 112 are quarantine cases and 79 are local contacts. However, 255 patients recovered in the State taking the total number of 10,37,864.

Currently, the active cases stands at 2359.

On the other hand, the State Health & Family Welfare Department informed about the death of one COVID infected patient from Bargarh, taking the death toll to 8,407 after due completion of death audit process. The list does not reflect deaths occurring on a particular day. It gives details of past deaths for which the death audit process has been duly completed and the cause of death has been identified as due to Covid-19.

Details of cases confirmed as death due to Covid-19, after due completion of death audit process:

1. A 76 years old Female of Baragarh District who was also suffering from Chronic Kidney Disease.
