Odisha Secondary School Teacher Eligibility Test To Be Held Today

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Secondary School Teacher Eligibility Test (OSSTET) will be held today amid Covid protocols. The 1st sitting exams will begin at 9 am till 11.30 am followed by the second sitting from 1 pm to 3:30 pm.

Reportedly, the Board of Secondary Education (BSE), Odisha has made all the preparations for the smooth conduct of the OSSTET examination today.

As many as 72,282 candidates are slated to appear in the OSSTET exam at 338 exam centres across the State this year.

As many as 40 squads have been formed whereas four special squads have been formed for the supervision during the exam. A control room has been set up at the board headquarters and a separate isolation room has also been set up at each test centre.

It is to be noted here that the BSE, Odisha conducts the OSSTET Exam to determine the eligibility of secondary teachers in Government/Government-aided schools of Odisha.

The OSSTET Exam has two categories, Category 1 (Paper 1) and Category 2 (Paper 2). While the first Paper is conducted for Education Teachers and Paper 2 is conducted for Physical Education Teachers.
