Odisha Schools To Conduct Classes During Morning From Tomorrow

Bhubaneswar: Morning school in Odisha is all set to begin from April 2 2022, School and Mass Education Minister Samir Ranjan Dash had informed.

The Department has taken the decision of starting school in the early hours of the day due to a significant rise in temperature across the State. The MeT department has also predicted heatwave in various places in interior Odisha.

According to the recent announcement/circular of the School and Mass Education Department, the following is the timing for various standards:

  • Classes to start from 6:30 am and to end at 10 am for standard 1 (I) to standard 8 (VIII).
  • Classes to start from 7:00 am tand to end at 11 am for standard 9 (IX) and standard 10 (X).

Notably, the State government had also allowed the educational institutions to reopen their hostels for students from February 7 while strictly adhering to the Covid-19 protocols of the government.

Adding to it, the Regional Meteorological Centre, Bhubaneswar had issued a heatwave warning in Odisha till April 2.

Meanwhile, the weather department has predicted light to moderate rainfall and thundershower over one or two places in five districts including Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, and Bhadrak from 8.30 am on April 3 to 8.30 am on April 4.
