Odisha schools reopen for classes 1-5 today

Bhubaneswar: After a gap of two years, the schools of Odisha have reopened for classes 1 to 5 from today abiding by Covid protocols. The offline classes were discontinued due to the surge in Covid cases.

All arrangements have been made in this regard by the Mass Education Department.

A review meeting was held on February 25th where it was discussed that after the reopening of schools, the students will be asked to do different activities in the first seven days and there will not be any period for studies.

A special booklet will be published that will be added to the students’ course of studies so that they would not be far away from classroom education. Meanwhile, the school campuses have been sanitized.

A Parent-Teacher meeting was also held the following day on February 26th to ensure maximum attendance of children at the school level. The students attended the online classes till February 27.
