Odisha Schools Not To Re-open In November: Minister Sameer Dash

Bhubaneswar: Schools in Odisha will continue to remain closed in November in view of second wave of COVID-19 in the state, informs School and Mass Education Minister Samir Ranjan Dash today.

The decision has been made keeping in view of the COVID-19 situation in Odisha and there is a possibility of revival of the virus in winter.

Though no official order has been issued yet. The school to remain closed till further orders, added Dash.

Earlier, the State government in its Unlock 6.0 guidelines had allowed schools to reopen for classes IX to XII from November 16 and necessary guidelines and SOP’s are being prepared by the Mass and Education Department.
