Odisha: Rs 28.85 lakh cash seized from a passenger in Puri

Puri: Railway protection Force (RPF) has seized a total of Rs 28.85 lakh cash from a passenger at Puri railway station. The cash was spotted in the passenger’s bag while it was going under the luggage scanner of the railway station. The money has been confiscated by the RPF police.

The arrested passenger has been identified as Uday Kumar, a resident of Narsipatnam of Vishakhapatnam. As per sources, Uday was on his way from Puri to Visakhapatnam yesterday evening when RPF police scanned his luggage at the station. During the scanning, Rs 28.85 lakh was found in his luggage.

RPF is investigating about the source of the money. However, Uday has claimed that he got the money after he sold his land.
