Bhubaneswar: Odisha reported 38 Covid cases of which 9 are from the 0-18 age group in the last 24 hours, informed the Information and Public Relations (I&PR) Department today.
As per the data shared by the I&PR Department on its Twitter handle, out of the total 38 Covid cases, 23 are quarantine cases while 15 are local contacts.
With the detection of the 38 new cases, the Covid positive tally of the State now stands at 12,87,323.

Meanwhile, the Health and Family Welfare Department of the State government informed that a 57-year-old male of Jagatsinghpur district died due to the deadly virus. He was also suffering from Chronic Kidney Disease.
“This list does not reflect deaths occurring on a particular day. It gives details of past deaths for which the death audit process has been duly completed and the cause of death has been identified as due to Covid-19,” it added.
