Odisha reports 358 new Covid-19 cases, 3 deaths

Bhubnaeswar: A total of 358 Covid-19 positive cases including 47 in the 0-18 years age group have been detected positive in Odisha in the last 24 hours taking the tally to 10,34,634, informed the Information & Public Relations (I&PR) Department on Saturday.

Among the 358 positives, there are 209 quarantine cases and 149 local contact cases. The new recovery cases stands at 535, taking the total number of 10,21,180. Hence, the number of active cases stands at 5,119.

The details of local contacts will be shared by concerned district administration. The district Wise Cases are as follows:

1. Angul: 1

4. Bhadrak: 8
5. Balangir: 4
6. Boudh: 1
7. Cuttack: 15
8. Deogarh: 1
9. Gajapati: 7
10. Ganjam: 1
11. Jagatsinghpur: 8

13. Kendrapada: 13
14. Keonjhar: 1
15. Khurda: 186
16. Koraput: 2
17. Mayurbhanj: 11
18. Nayagarh: 3
19. Puri: 9
20. Rayagada: 5
21. Sambalpur: 4
22. Sonepur: 2
23. Sundargarh: 3
24. State Pool: 46

Meanwhile, the State Health & Family Welfare Department informed about the death of three COVID infected patients, taking the death toll to 8,282 after due completion of death audit process. The list does not reflect deaths occurring on a particular day. It gives details of past deaths for which the death audit process has been duly completed and the cause of death has been identified as due to Covid-19.

Details of cases confirmed as death due to Covid-19, after due completion of death audit process:

1. A 83 years old Female of Khordha District who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus & Hypertension.

2. A 49 years old Female of Puri District who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus, Hypertension & Asthma.

3. A 80 years old Male of Sundargarh District.
