Odisha reports 21 more Covid Deaths: Four minors including a 19-days-old child succumb

Bhubaneswar: As many as 21 more patients have succumbed to Covid in Odisha, informed State Health and Welfare Department on Tuesday taking the death toll to 8,775.

According to the details provided by H&FW Department, a total of four minors have succumbed to the deadly virus including a 19 day old Male Child of Balasore, a 3 Months old Male Child of Sundargarh, a 7 years old Female of Mayurbhanja, and a 9 years old Male Child of Sundargarh district.

Details of cases confirmed as death due to Covid-19, after due completion of the death audit process:

1.A 42 years old Male of Balasore District who was also suffering from Chronic Inflammatory Demyelinating Polyneuropathy and acute on chronic kidney disease.

2.A 19 days old Male Child of Balasore District.

3.A 32 years old Male of Bhadrak District.

4.A 45 years old Female of Cuttack District who was also suffering from Hypertension.

5.A 63 years old Male of Cuttack District.

6.A 28 years old Male of Dhenkanal District who was also suffering from Chronic Kidney Disease, Hypertension.

7.A 23 years old Female of Ganjam District who was also suffering from Sickle Cell Disease on Reglat Blood Transfusion.

8.A 62 years old male of Jagatsinghpur District who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus & Hypertension.

9.A 67 years old Male of Jajpur District who was also suffering from Coronary Artery Disease.

10.A 72 years old Male of Jajpur District who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus, Cerebro Vascular Accident & Motor neurone disease.

11.A 55 years old Male of Jajpur District who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus, Cerebro Vascular Accident & Chronic Kidney Disease.

12.A 75 years old Male of Khordha District who was also suffering from Benign prostatic hyperplasia, Dilated cardiomyopathy.

13.A 70 years old Male of Keonjhar District.

14.A 65 years old Female of Kendrapara District who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus.

15.A 75 years old Female of Mayurbhanja District who was also suffering from Hypertensive Cardiomyopathy.

16.A 7 years old Female of Mayurbhanja District.

17.A 70 years old Male of Mayurbhanja District who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus, Hypertension & Chronic Kidney Disease.

18.A 60 years old Female of Nuapada District.

19.A 80 years old Female of Puri District who was also suffering from Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease.

20.A 3 Months old Male Child of Sundargarh District.

21.A 9 years old Male Child of Sundargarh District who was also suffering from Adult acute myeloid leukemia & Central Nervous System involvement on Chemo Therapy.

The H&FW Department has further informed that this list does not reflect deaths occurring on a particular day. It gives details of past deaths for which the death audit process has been duly completed and the cause of death has been identified as due to Covid-19.
