Odisha reports 160 new Covid cases, 20 children from 0-18 age group infected, one succumb to virus

Bhubaneswar: Information & Public Relations (I&PR) Department of Odisha government on Sunday informed that 160 new COVID positive cases including 20 from 0-18 age group reported in the State in the last 24 hours.

The I&PR Department informed that 160 cases include 94 quarantine cases and 66 local contacts. With the detection of 160 new cases, the total positive cases rose to 10,51,574.

There are a total of 1955 active cases.

On the other hand, Odisha reports one death due to Covid-19 in the last 24 hours.

Details of cases confirmed as death due to Covid-19, after due completion of death audit process:

1. A 65 years old Female of Bhadrak District who was also suffering from Hypertension.

NOTE: This list does not reflect deaths occurring on a particular day. It gives details of past deaths for which the death audit process has been duly completed and the cause of death has been identified as due to Covid-19.

The Union Health Department said that as many as 7,774 new positive cases and 306 death cases were reported across the country in the last 24 hours.

With the death of the 306 COVID patients, the death toll due to the virus rose to 4.75 lakhs, informed the health department.
