Bhubaneswar: As many as 104 fresh COVID-19 cases have been reported from different parts of Odisha, informed the State government.

According to reports of the State government, a total of 5,526 samples were tested in the last 24 hours, out of which 104 samples turned out to be positive.

The active case tally in the State rose to 429 with the detection of 104 new cases today. A total of 34 patients also recovered from the virus in the last 24 hours, added the government.

Likewise, the COVID tally of India today crossed the 6,000 mark today as it reported 6,050 new Covid-19 cases in the past 24 hours, according to the Union health ministry data updated.

With this, the country’s active Covid-19 caseload has gone up to active cases at 28,303, a jump of nearly 2716 cases.

According to health ministry data, India reported 14 more fatalities in the last 24 hours.

With 3,320 recoveries in the same time span, the total number of recoveries reached 4,41,85,858. The recovery rate currently stands at 98.75 per cent.

The daily positivity rate stood at 3.39 per cent, while the weekly positivity rate at 3.02 per cent. With 1,78,533 tests conducted in the same time span, total number of tests reached 92.25 crore.

A total of 2,334 doses have been administered in last 24 hours, taking the total number of inoculations to 220.66 crore.
