Odisha Punch-man Satyapira Padhan to attempt for next Guinness Records on July 23

Bhubaneswar: Satyapira Padhan, the Guinness Book of World Records holder from Odisha for delivering maximum punches in one minute, will make his second attempt on July 23, 2021. This time he will attempt to deliver maximum punches with both the hands.

This time Satyapira will attempt to break the Guinness World Record set earlier by famous punch striker Pavel Trusov from Slovakia.

Satyapira had applied for this attempt to make another record for the Guinness Book and obtained the permission on July 7. Now he will attempt to create world record by striking maximum punch in both hands.

As per the requirement, in this programme Suresh Chandra Chhatria will be the expert witness, Sugyan Kesharee Pradhan as punch pad keeper and Miss Sasmita Rautaray (Sports Officer, LR DAV Cuttack) and Gajendra Barik will take up the responsibility as time keepers.

Padhan has so far set two Guinness World Records, one in the year of 2017 and another in 2018 and for this unique achievement he has been honoured by the Chief Minister of Odisha Naveen Pattnaik. Son of Anirudha Padhan and Sakuntala Padhan he is a native of Deypur village in Kalahandi district. Nibedita Pradhan is his wife.

Having interest in Martial Arts and Mountaineering he has also obtained Master degree in Physiotherapy (Neurology) from Utkal University, Bhubaneswar.
