Bhubaneswar: Odisha Police has warned the public against a new type of fraud by which the fraudsters have been targeting the vulnerable ones who are in need of loans.
The fraudsters, in this new type of scam, will send a link on the pretext of offering a paperless loan with a low-interest rate.
Following this, if anybody clicks on the scam link they immediately scan your mobile and capture all the details available on your phone.
Recently, many complaints have been filed with the cyber team in relation to such frauds. Hence, the Odisha Police team took to its official Twitter handle and warned the public not to click on the link.
“Some cyber fraudsters are sending you links to your mobile, promising to lend you a low-interest rate. In that case, don’t click on the link at all, or you’ll end up with a big cyber fraud,” quoted the Tweet.
