Odisha Police To Start Highway Patrolling On Five Stretches

Cuttack: Odisha Police have decided to launch a statewide special drive ‘Operation PAREE – III’  to trace out the missing children from July 30 to August 13.

Police DG R.P Sharma today asked the concerned SPs to make the programme a grand success in their districts. Sharma today reviewed the crime and Law and Order situation in the state with the concerned district polices through video conferencing at State Police Headquarters in  Cuttack.

Sharma reviewed several issues including pending cases of investigation, crime preventive measures, execution of NBW, status of recent heinous crimes (rape and murder ), status of cases coming under POCSO Act,  issues on Shelter Homes and status of missing persons.

The DG also directed to start highway patrolling on highway stretches between Laxmannath to Girisola, Bhubaneswar to Puri, Manguli to Sambalpur, Sambalpur to Rourkela and Sambalpur to Shohela within a month.
