Berhampur: A sub-inspector of Odisha Police has been caught red-handed by the Vigilance sleuths for demanding and accepting bribe of Rs. 3000 from a complainant in Ganjam district on Thursday.
Jagannath Prasad police station SI Sidhartha Kumar Gauda was caught red-handed by the officers of Vigilance Berhampur Division while demanding and accepting illegal gratification of Rs 3,000 from one P Raja Senapati to settle a case, officials said.
A case has been registered against the accused SI at Berhampur Vigilance Police Staion in this connection and further investigation is on, officials added.
