Angul: Odisha’s Angul police seized fake notes with a face value of Rs 3.52 lakh from a vehicle on April 9 and arrested three persons in this connection. This was informed by the cops today.
The arrested persons have been identified as Padan Mallick, Sangram Keshari Panda and Brajamohan Sahu.
According to reports, police seized counterfeit notes during checking of vehicles in the town on Tuesday. Police also have recovered five mobile phones and a country-made gun from the possession of the accused persons.
Further investigation by the cops to ascertain the source of the fake notes is underway.
