Odisha Police Officer In Vigilance Net, Raid Underway

Dhenkanal: Yet another Odisha police officer has landed under the vigilance scanner in Hindol of Dhenkanal district on Wednesday.

The officer has been identified as Malaya Kishore Nayak, he is appointed as SDPO of Hindol in  Dhenkanal district.

The officer has been apprehended by Odisha Vigilance while demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs.30,000 from a Complainant.

The Complainant is a stone quarry owner. The officer had asked for a bribe to facilitate stone quarrying and transportation.

The entire bribe money has been recovered from Nayak and seized.

Following trap, simultaneous searches are being conducted on properties of Nayak at six places in Bhubaneswar, Puri, Angul, Dhenkanal and Sambalpur district.

In this connection Cuttack Vigilance has registered a case in this matter.
