Keonjhar: In a strange incident, an Odisha police inspector has been accused of demanding a bribe for rescuing an abducted minor girl in the Keonjhar district.

Reportedly, a complaint was filed with the Anandpur police station alleging that the minor girl was abducted on March 5, 2022, by a youth of a nearby village.

However, the girl’s father has not paid the bribe and gave him 2 kg of fish instead. Later, the minor girl was also rescued after the complaint was filed.

Meanwhile, Anandpur SDPO Anil Beuria has denied all the allegations and said that accusations are completely baseless. He further said that as the youth, who was involved in the abduction of the minor girl, will be arrested soon.
