Ganjam: Odisha Vigilance conducted raid on properties of Police Constable number 742 of Berhampur Police in Ganjam district on Monday morning on the allegation of accumulation of disproportionate assets. The alleged Police Constable has been identified as Sudarsan Pradhan.
Reportedly, the vigilance sleuths including one Additional SP, two DSPs, five inspectors and other staff engaged conducted raid at places associated with Sudarshan.
Simultaneous searches are being carried out at three locations on the strength of search warrants issued by the Special Judge, Vigilance, Berhampur. The locations are as follows:
- Three storeyed residential building at Lochapada, Main Road, Berhampur
- Buildings located at Nimakhandi
- Parental house at village Gamundi, under Bhanjanagar police limits in Ganjam
The vigilance sleuths recovered Rs Rs 5, 16, 880 unaccounted cash so far. Further investigation regarding the vigilance raid is underway, details awaited.
