Odisha Police Collects Fine Of Rs 27 Lakh For Covid Rules Violation

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha police has collected fine amounting to Rs 26, 15, 700 on the eighth day of Covid Enforcement Drive in the state.

In the last 24 hours Odisha Police has acted against 8314 people for violating mask usage and social distancing rules.

Cumulatively, in eight days of the drive, fine amounting to Rs 2, 43, 64, 900 have been collected from 83,391 violators of Covid protocols.

From morning of April 14 to morning of April 15, three cases have been registered, 18 people have been arrested, 668 vehicles have been seized and Rs. 27,99,350 have been collected for violation of Covid-19 guidelines.

The special teams will continue to conduct raids at various crowded places to nab the violators of mask usage and social distancing rules and strict actions shall be taken against the concerned people.

The Odisha police has urged the the citizens to behave responsibly and follow the Covid guidelines.
