Odisha Police Collects Fine Of More Than Rs 90 Lakh For Violation of Covid Guidelines In 3 Days

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha police has collected fine amounting to Rs. 90,67,600 in three days of Covid Enforcement Drive in the state.

In the last 24 hours Odisha Police has acted against 12145 people for violating mask usage and social distancing rules and collected fine of Rs. 38, 98, 250.

The police had collected Rs. 25,07,900 and Rs. 30,59,650 in the first two days of the Covid Enforcement Drive.

Around 20 teams have been formed to strictly enforce the mask-wearing rules in Bhubaneswar. The teams will be engaged for surveillance in various crowded places like market building and other busy markets, said Bhubaneswar DCP (Crime) Nirmala Satpathy.

DCP (Crime) has further added that the police personnel will be conducting raids to nab the people violating the rules of wearing masks and maintaining social distancing and take strict actions against them.
