Odisha Police Collects Fine Of More Than Rs 30 Lakh For Violation of Covid Guidelines

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha police has collected fine amounting to Rs 33, 41, 200 on the fifth day of Covid Enforcement Drive in the state.

In the last 24 hours Odisha Police has acted against 11,410 people for violating mask usage and social distancing rules.

Cumulatively, in five days of the drive, fine amounting to Rs 1, 58, 73, 200 have been collected from 56,256 violators of Covid protocols.

The teams will continue to inspect various crowded places to nab the people violating the rules of wearing masks and maintaining social distancing and take strict actions against them.

The special team that had been formed will go through the CCTV footage and impose fine on violators.

The Odisha police has urged the the citizens to observe Covid appropriate behaviour in order to curb the infection.
