Odisha Police collects around Rs 28 lakh fine within 24 hours from COVID guideline violators, 12 arrested
Bhubaneswar: The number of Coronavirus-positive cases is massively increasing across the country. In view of this, both the Union and State governments have issued COVID guidelines to contain the virus. However, some people have been violating the COVID guidelines due to which actions have been taken against them by the enforcement team.
According to the information shared by the Odisha Police on its Twitter handle, Rs 27,72,750 fine was collected from the violators within 24 hours i.e from the morning of January 3, 2022, to the morning of January 4, 2022.
Besides, 13 people have been arrested while 699 vehicles seized.
“The risk of Covid-19 threat is not yet over. Stay safe by obeying Covid guidelines,” urged the State police to the general public.
