Odisha Police ASI Sets Example, Gets Married In Police Station To Ensure Social Distancing

Sonepur: An Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) of Odisha Police has set an example for others by getting married at police station to ensure social distancing due to coronavirus outbreak in the state.

One Dipti Ranjan Digal of Kandhamal district who works as ASI at Subalaya Police Station in Sonepur district was scheduled to marry one Jyotsna Rani of Kendupadar village. However, their marriage could not be solemnized in a grand manner due to the lockdown imposed in the wake of COVID-19.

The duo, however, decided to keep their wedding a low-key affair to ensure social distancing. They got married at Subalaya Police station in the presence of some police officials and their parents.

All precautionary methods were taken before the rituals were performed.

The newly-wed couple thanked the police for their help.

Meanwhile, praises poured in for the couple for their decision to keep their wedding a low-key affair to ensure social distancing. It has now become the talk of the town.
